In a class dedicated to publication design, my class and I were tasked with creating a masthead for a magazine about ocean life. I started by hand drawing a few different ideas in a sketchbook and showed them to my professor who encouraged me to create a few more mastheads similar to the one above and through this exercise I created this final masthead. It represents ocean life with the deep blue color and by using negative space I made a jellyfish symbol between the "C" and the "E".
